The 'Les Paul' tag is so synonymous with a singlecut design, it's used freely to refer to the latter- that's how influential the 'Les Paul' name has become.

I own a 1985 Burny "John Sykes" Les Paul with VH1 pups. I simply love the construction & sound.

i'm sure you love it for what it is, not because it emulates a Les Paul exclusively, yes? :-) i love my Edwards as well- superb!
