What the Falch...?

The Ibanez Falchion is one of the newest member of the X-series but the manufacturer decided to have an Edge III bridge in there when the other standard series models now sport an Edge Zero II model. No disrespect to the Edge III unit but to many of us, Ibanez just second-rated their new product by doing so. The Falchion could have just sport the non-whammy bridge like the Halberd & Glaive.

First, Ibanez needs to test the market, on how well such shape will be received. No point putting in all the best parts while there's such uncertainty. When sales figures are able to justify, i'm sure the new revision will include the Edge Zero bridge.

ibanez can test the market more economically as illustrated by the other 2 X-series freshies- they sport an even more cost-friendly bridge (respectively). by virtue of the Falchion's model number- XF350- it's in the same tier/ standard as the other 3XX models (eg: RG350) but parts assignments are different. let's leave it to ibanez to show us they know better in terms of production philosophy.

hopefully, there would be variations along the way- it happened to the xiphos...

I don't think it's in their plan to release all three X's with fixed bridge. That's exactly why we see the floating bridge in Falchion.

any manufacturer in their right mind would offer variety, that's definitely manifested in the new X trio.
