Here's a close-up of the GJ6 headstock, it's in the image of the Strat but a more trimmed make of it.
A view of the flip-side; a row of Sperzel locking tuners. The neck rear is merely a stained finish from one end to the other.
From this angle we can see the beveling which complements the tuner alignment. In addition to the visual attraction, it's a way to alleviate some weight here.

hmmm never touched locking tuners before but are they complicated?? and are they really that heavy?? =/
don't think they are that heavy, just a little bit.
And they aren't complicated in use, just a thumbwheel at the back to tighten the lock.
sub, check your email! :)
Is there a reason the first tuner does not have a washer like the rest ?
missing washer- yes, i've noticed that too...
there are different types of locking tuners, the Sperzels employ a thumbwheel feature, they contribute significantly to weight as compared to Gotoh's magnum locks which are thumbwheel free.
I lost one of the washers and sperzel washers are hard to replace so I'm still looking for it haha,
from what i saw on youtube, u dun have to give that extra 1 1/2 tuner length of extra string for locking tuners, like u would have to on a non-locking? or is it only for those with thumb screws??
it applies to all locking units :-)
