The Aristocrats are:
- Guthrie Govan (guitars)
- Brian Beller (bass)
- Marco Minnemann (drums)
So the initial impression here is that they are a trio not to be messed with, their individual credentials are respectable enough & the thought of them coming together as an instrumental trio simply excite us. However, please do not expect a Mike Varney-esque guitar laden project. The Aristocrats have proven that they are lethal without succumbing to shred conventions- Guthrie Govan will take you through some of the most technical guitar noodling without a hint of distortion. On this note, I'd like to forewarn tone enthusiasts who are looking forward to hear more of Govan's Erotic Cakes distortion that they will encounter more fuzz than anything else. It's a great release which guitar fans should not ignore.
