P-94

Got myself a Gibson P-94 pickup. My BFG Les Paul sports a P-90 in the neck position, to my ears, it sounds very pleasant as opposed to a humbucker in that same spot. The P-94 will be resident in the neck position as well but in another guitar. The early LPs which were equipped with P-90s; I think those meant so much to the players back then & Gibson had perpetuated their re-issue till today.

Hey bro, how is it compared to tesla's p90 in humbucker size? Eq wise...

In this context, Duncan's Phat Cat has the most poke. TESLA's Opus II sounds very transparent & has great chemistry with distortion. Gibson's P-94 here is the most rounded, sounds exceptional clean :-)

So base on that, if I'm on distortion 90% of the playing time, opus II would be a good choice to get, right? Price wise i bet gibson's is at the top of those...

It is the most expensive but to me $160 is not prohibitive :-)
