Convincing

I was at Swee Lee yesterday for some convincing. I managed to try the Ibanez RG350M (again?), I intentionally chose an earlier consignment to prove that what I tried recently was a definite difference; neck-wise that is. The earlier batch of 350Ms still sport the rather meaty Wizard II profile which has the D feel to it as well. Still wondering if the recent manifestation was a mistake of sorts but I'm gonna just lay it to rest in the mean time...

Thank you brother Jumahat for the assistance.

Yo bro, on an unrelated topic, have u ever tried the ibanez gsrm20 mikro bass? Its a short scale bass, probably 28". Would like to gather opinions about it, other than it being a beginner level bass. Also i find it difficult to get hold of this bass locally. Bgw quoted $500. I guess shipping price is higher than the price of the guitar itself...

no experience with the Mikro Bass as yet, it's not available off-the-shelf here. i did mentioned it before though :http://theguitaraddict.blogspot.com/2010/05/mikro-bass.html

you can also try the alternative: GAXB bass, it's discontinued but still available, lurking in the inner reaches of stores here. it's also shorter scaled but 32", not as short as you'd like it to be :-)

1mband: swee lee has the yellow version in stock but i'm not sure if it's the newer, slimmer neck... if you get it from Standard Value then it's definitely the latest neck incarnation :-)

I do like maple necks and wonder why doesn't Ibanez offer it enough. Other than the RG, most models will not have maple...

i think you mean maple fretboard... majority of the Ibanez guitars sport maple necks.

Yes, exactly, maple fretboard...
