Edwards: Gus G

If you are a die-hard Gus G fan & would love to own his signature ESP guitar but deem the asking price to be a little prohibitive, the Edwards version is available for your consideration: E-GG-150MA. Gus G made a trip to the Edwards production facility to witness the making of this manifestation.

guitar prices shown at Davis, are they fixed?

i've always been intrigued by edwards. i know they are domestic variants to the usual esp, but quality wise are they equal or inferior?

From wikipedia, stated that the Edwards line also made in Japan like ESP, with some hardware differences. From what i know, in terms of quality wise it would be ESP, Edwards, LTD and Grassroots in that order. Correct me if I'm wrong

yup- Davis prices are fixed. but they are the lowest & some of the best deals in town (just check out the Marshall prices then compare them with other online prices).

the Edwards are on par with ESP's Standard series in terms of construction. variation, as mentioned, come in the guises of hardware & wood grade but they remain top tier, any lower, it'll go into the Grassroots range.

i'm very happy with the Edwards offerings, have never come across bad pieces or repulsive sounding ones. they are very likable & worth every cent of the asking price. we are rather fortunate to be able to acquire these giutars as they are meant for the Jap market.

bro Ijau: LTDs in general, are more affordable. however, the Deluxe models are just $200+/- short of the Edwards listing.

Not Ibanez Prestige.. S or RG..

subversion.sg said...

he he... the S/RG models also come in the Prestige version :-)

the Edwards range, all of them in fact, are mid-priced models & worthy of every cent of their asking price.

No no. What I meant was, Ibanez S/RG model which is not the Prestige model; Compare to ESP LTD EDWARDS, where does they stands?

as mentioned above- Edwards are mid-priced units with very high standards of QC & likable tones; i would sit them above the standard RG/S models. IMO Edwards are ESPs without the ESP tag- they are that worthy.
