Tribute 60s

Following the success of its predecessor, the 50s Tribute series, the Gibson Les Paul Studio is now available in the 60s Tribute range. It's nothing too different from the latter, the primary feature is its slim tapered 60s profile neck. Expect an equally affordable price tag- that's good news isn't it?

Also available- the 60s Tribute SG. Similar format, just the SG version.

i've tried the (re-issue) '57 goldtop (Gibson) some time back. it sports a very chunky neck profile (i thought the Custom's was huge) which would appease those of us who don't accelerate our notes, he he...

also the '57 humbuckers has a niche voicing- they address the crunchy tones better than extreme distortion.

as chunky as classical guitar?

close to that but with more playability.

The slim neck, the Gibson brand, the studio edition at a fantastic price. Everything looks perfect, and then the P90 pickups killed my hope... ~1mb

P-90s are alright if you know what they have in store for you :-) i made it a point to own a P-90 equipped guitar, to me it sounds great even with extra distortion.

can someone tell how the 60s tribute compares to the sg standard and sg classic. I'm thinking of buying one of these 3 and wondering if the tribute is a good choice or if the faded finish is such a let down and if the body and neck are bad. Lovin those P90s!

P90, it's a poison and meat thing. =)
