Blades @ Davis GMC

Blade guitars are now available @ Davis GMC.

These are not the boutique Levinson Blade models we know, instead, they are part of the standard production models which are very affordable.

Indeed, they are very much in the Strat/Tele range...

... but the X-Fire range (XF-120 above) offers a no-frills, dual humbucking model. There are no locking hardware to get in the way so you know what you are in for.

So how affordable are they? The Classic RH-2 you see here is the costliest amongst them as it features a set of higher end electronics/ hardware. It's listing for $1.2K but the rest of the models you see are listing for $480 :-)

I've managed to try some of the in-store models, appraisals are on the way, so watch this space :-)

Hi sub, do you know how much the dayton models cost? Those look interesting!

hey bro :-) the Dayton is also $480. i'm eying the dual humbucking version instead of the in-store P-90 + single coil version. it's 1 of the 2 models on review in my next Blade instalment.

Me too! But I wanna try out both of them first, both are tempting in their own way. Are they at the main store or the side store?

Update: Dual humbucking version unavailable in the mean time. All blade guitars are at the basement main store

Any first impression for the RH2? I gave it a very brief try, neck felt as good as my Fender Am Deluxe, but sound was pretty disappointing.. might have had more to do with the amp and the spot I was forced to sit at though

the overall feel & QC of the RH2 was fantastic IMO. it's a class production but as you mentioned, the pickups could have been better. i do find them acceptable but i would have them replaced if i own the instrument...

Sadly they don't have an RH4 in stock. I enquired about shipping one in but it would take several months; not sure I want to pay a deposit for such a long wait
