Ibanez: AMF73

I tried this guitar out recently (can't remember when exactly, getting old...), it's new for 2010 (Ibanez AMF73). As it presents itself to be a semi-hollow guitar, we'd think it's unmistakable in its acoustic tones but the rather thin body doesn't do it justice in this aspect. It thrives on drive/ distortion & you can obtain some of the smoothest blues crunch with this one. The satin finish (neck included) has to be the highlight of this guitar- supplements fast runs, definitely. List: $856

it's 100% ibanez though, disappointing of it even emulates any of those...

I think that must be one of the coolest ibanez ive seen in a while, even though the art300 was something special for me. Must check this one out :)

coolness aside, this guitar is well made & it plays very well- like it very much actually :-)

I've been thinking about picking one of these up. These are like a couple hundred bucks new on Ebay, which kind of has me hesitant.

How did you like the quality and playability?

Thanks.

hey Pete :-)

please do not expect immaculate semi-acc tones from this one, there's a semi-acc inclinations here but the overall tone remains bright & midrange-y. a 335 on a budget? far off, this one...

overall playability: thumbs up. in fact, would be an open invitation for shredders.
