Who's watching?

I was out & about at Harbour Front not too long ago, there was this open space facing the main road just next to the Harbour Front MRT station. As indicated on the stage back drop, the main event was elsewhere, the stage here was accommodating a band performance which nobody's watching... Mind you, the band did play some great prog stuff but mostly to a bunch of... spectres.

This is the problem with Singapore bands, either they are not good enough or they do not have enough fans.

And still there is all this talk against pay-to-play. Of course you have to pay to play if you are a lousy band

it's also the common majority- maybe they are attuned to pop songs & such. any niche genre, thye will ignore. too much technicalities, they will ignore also...
