Another nifty release by EHX this Summer NAMM (2010); it's a headphone amp. We can treat this as an intermediary between our instrument & our headphones. Some of us hear our guitars in action through a headphone attached multi-FX unit which isn't exactly immediate amplification. If you dislike hearing yourself that way, you can use this device to connect to external speakers or other amplification devices which do not normally accept instrument signals; your hi-fi audio set, for instance.

i guess vox amplugs were more cheaper than this
