S2 Alder

Upon Mike's (Standard Value) special request, the Smash S2 guitars available here feature an alder body instead of the standard basswood. I played one a few days ago, the tonal difference here is the guitar's more vocal single coil response. We do keep in mind why Fender prefer alder for their Strats, yes?

The other revision would be the bridge's string saddles; these are no longer the vintage type featuring those annoying, protruding, action adjustment screws. What we get are the modern block type, ala Fender's American Deluxe bridge hardware.

all S2 models have maple necks- you are referring to fret board, yes? you have to check with std value but i believe i saw those but unsure if they are the latest alder body version.

hey sub! hope you would answer my question...
i'm sure you have tried both the smash and swing brands yeah?
would you recommend one to buy a smash and upgrade its hardware or jus buy a swing straight?
thanks! :D

yo bro :-) advise you to go for the Swing; it's not just about the hardware here but the Swing has a more appealing tone by default.
