Bogner: Ecstasy blue

I call this one Sweet Blue...

Thumbs-up:
  • Dynamic EQ- The first thing I messed with were the 3-band EQ on offer, they are perhaps some of the best I've come across. The Bass goes from warm to thumping-deep, the Treble is a darling, it hisses like a snake at higher settings (past 2 o'clock) but complements the bass at lower settings- how about that? The midrange is, to say the least, clarity control.
  • Lots of voicings- Do take time to read the manual & understand what's on offer in terms of voicings. The manufacturer had included a compression (variac) as well as presence (b1/n/b2) in addition to some propriety (amplifier) voicings.
  • Saturation- Boost adds saturation in addition to some fatness (thumbs up to this), would have been a great plus if it's adjustable.
Minusses
  • Why small? Yes, I'm referring to those flick switches but the manufacturer might have conceived them to be 'set-&-forget', not ones to be referred to during play.
  • Price: $345
