ESP: 2013 announcement

Many of us were anxious with what ESP would have in store come 2013. The manufacturer had been repelling rumours online pertaining to some offerings in the catalogues which they will have to address soon. This is perhaps one of the announcements we were waiting for- the LTD Elite series, made in Japan. Yes, with effect from 2013, the Elite would be LTD's top of the line models, it's unclear if the Deluxe would still be in production by then. The Horizon model you see above would be on my list. For those of you familiar with the Edwards pricing, the Elites are in this bracket.

There's another announcement coming... :-)

yes, they missed it by the headstock but it's production convenience :-) i don't mind as long as it's a quality product...

ESP might be bridging the gap between their Edwards quality & price points & their LTD counterparts. since the 'Edwards' brand name won't make it elsewhere that easily, the 'LTD' label makes perfect sense. people are already paying more than $1K for an LTD Deluxe, the Elite is just a wee bit more, it's not a huge difference & it's made in Japan- a very strong re-sell consideration

and the LTD wording is similar to that on hetfield's snakebyte

means they already have it, so it's nothing new :-) note that the 12th fret inlay says 'ESP', not the model number...
