The Warzone beckons

Here's good news: The UNO Warzone is back in stock @ SV. Adding to the GAS factor, both Warzone versions are now available, so you can choose what you want to hear; a pair of passive TESLA pickups or actives for an all-out distortion affair. No price differences here, both retail for $790 (each).Do keep this in mind- for this amount of money, you get:
  • Above-average QC- I looked & re-looked but the faults were not there for scrutiny. Maybe they are hidden elsewhere. Either way, it's a thumbs-up affair.
  • Great playability- very fast neck but not excessively thin. Great upper fret reaches (set neck feature)
  • Impressive pickups- The TESLAs are largely overlooked pickups but they deliver likable tones.
  • Floyd Rose! Yes, it's not a copy or a licensed reproduction, it's the genuine, impregnable, article. I know what you're whining about- for the same amount of money, you couldn't quite get a guitar equipped with a reputable double locking whammy bridge but here's the Warzone for your considerations.
I gave the WZII another audition yesterday & it was an instant hit for me (again). It's a matter of time...

made in: http://theguitaraddict.blogspot.com/2010/10/uno-warzone-ii.html

does it matter? to me it doesn't.

ampz: just place your palm where you think it's best. a little tricky initially but i find palm muting on dual-whammy bridges to be easier :-) maybe it's just me...

I guess the Korean makers are still maintaining a higher standard in their craft. Good alternatives to what's already saturating the market. The headstock looks fierce, but nice.

up the tesla! \m/

korean craftsmanship is now not exclusively the better make, the Chinese (ibanez Artcore series) & Indonesian (Ibanez Premium series) products are up there with the best but these are very much overlooked. we tend to look up to the koreans, granted they have a good track record, but we must acknowledge the other good ones because they are good, regardless of their origin :-)

bro ijau: the TESLAs are making me love the WZ big time...

what type of tesla(s) was/were in there?

I hope they come out with dot inlays

i'd welcome a blank fretboard as well :-)

TESLAs are the Custom models, exclusive for UNO- these are the same ones featured in the discontinued UNO Standard.

hey sub, are the pickups similar to any of the models tesla have in the market right now? something we could do a comparison with..?

thx!

Ooo.. but i've not heard the UNO standard before! i don't know how the pups would sound like. hmm.. i've used the VR60, nitros and plasma 3 before. if i were to make a random guess, i'm guessing these tesla UNO customs would sound similar to the plasma 3s..?

thanks again!

At which SV store can I find this?

the CUSTOM has more Nitro qualities to it- very engaging when ti comes to distortion & good cleans when the need arises.

the Warzones are avaialable at both SV branches.
