Snap

This is a rare occurrence for me; when I took my Ibanez SZR520 out of its bag, the B-string was already flapping about- it snapped while the guitar was in storage. A quick look at the ball-end; there was much corrosion there. I decided to replace all strings only to discover more corroded D'Addario ball-ends.

a bad batch maybe? i sometimes get slightly corroded ghs or ernie balls out of the pack. probably been sitting in the store for too long.

that string can be reuse (recycled) on double-locking equipped guitars :)

I might have handled the strings with sweaty hands when re-stringing the instrument...

Sometimes we neglect crucial part like the strings end, a wipe down before re-stringing is important.
