Swee Lee (warehouse) SALE

OK... the Swee Lee Warehouse SALE is happening tomorrow. If you are keen, my advice is to take some time off today & go see what's available. Many of us prefer the warehouse sale due to the availability of some products not offered at both the Katong & Bras Basah outlets. Do note the entrance levy.

RG1451/1421- NOT available

RG1550/1570- available. the black 1550 i played briefly today- superb set up + sparkling new; the most unblemished of them all :-)

RG2620- the pre-Mahogany (basswood) model is available. (GOOGLE: RG2620CBK)

RGA121- non-sparkle finish available

do consider: RG2550 :-)

hmm just curious but whats the difference between the warehouse outlet and their katong/bras basah outlets?

no mystery here, bro. both the katong & BB branches get their stuff from the warehouse. we note the swee lee sale (regardless of the venues) involve the display pieces. the warehouse has the most display to offer. also, the Katong brand for instance, has a Peavey focus above all else.

How much is the RGA121?

i can't remember the exact price tag but after the SALE discount, expect to pay about $1.5K... be informed the RGA121 sports a satin finish, unlike the gloss finish, this one dents rather easily :-)

hey sub...how are the prices of fender guitars at the sale? is it really mostly 50% off?

subversion.sg said...

hi bro :-)

as the poster stated: 50% off but these are for guitars with a LIST price tag (all brands, Fender included). however, if you see a 'NETT' label on the price tag (all brands, Fender included...) then these items are only subject to 10% discount.

the Fenders there are rather attractive but the Highway 1 models are tagged for slightly more than $2K which i find rather baffling but swee lee would have their own reasons for doing so. the (Mexican) Kenny Wayne Sheppard model is one heck of a guitar, to say the least (if you are a Fender fan, that is) :-)

Any Dimarzio stuff there? (e.g. pickups and strap)

NOT ALL TRUE at 50%. I was told a product off at 50% but on payment at the slow motion cashier, was surprised to be told that it was at only 30% discount. I told him DON'T MISLEAD YOUR REGULARS.SO DO BE CAREFUL. The truth is only at the cashier and you may too embarassed to withdraw your purchase!

in that case, they should be more transparent & put up discount labels accordingly. thusfar, all the items i bought from all the swee lee sales for the pasrt few years have been a 50% off affair.

sometime ago I told the staff at the Swee Lee warehouse that the fee levied on entry into the building to view the items on sale should be used to offset any items bought by genuine buyers and as for those who just wished to browse, then its justifiable to charge them the levy so as tom prevent unnecessary congestions and to discourage the sale from becoming a venue just for viewing....

subversion.sg said...

this is a very good consideration, genuine buyers should be rewarded, this is indeed a way to do so...
