Rally: Neosound JR

Another catch from the SV Guitars SALE; Rally's Neosound Jr.A poor man's (Gibson) ES-335, this one? I deem this as the manufacturer's effort to offer a parallel alternative, there's not much deviation from the ES-335 features but kudos to the Rally people for providing a satin finish & 2 fewer knobs. You can't blame Rally for manifesting what they learned from the trade; they used to manufacture Epiphone guitars, mind you.

I especially like the matching headstock; it's also satin finished.

The manufacturer refers to these default pickups as 'Classic humbuckers', the classic implication is definitely that perimeter housing which surrounds the pickup's edges giving rise to a pseudo-Filtertron make. I might have picked the Jr over the other, fuller Neosound version due to these pickups... subconsciously of course. In clean mode, they possess a wicked twack (twang  + whack = twack). Please excuse the protection stickers which are still in tact. In fact, I've been playing this guitar with those on.

i have always liked guitars with a non-gloss finish, the Neosound JR came at the right time for a right price :-)
