I guess we have to see this coming, a subliminal departure. No, the band's still together but the music is not exactly death metal; the prog dominance is glaring. The band might be using this EP platform as an exploration of the lesser elements which had been incorporated into their music all along. The metal bits, if there are any, lies with the guitar fills & solos; these are some of the dreamiest concocted by Paul Masvidal.
The line-up for this EP consisted of the original recording members less Jason Gobel, (L-R: Paul Masvidal/ Sean Reinert/ Sean Malone).
